Portland Shed Pt.1

Another series of photographs exploring Portland Island in Dorset, UK.

While on a walk I stumbled upon a small, amusing shed-like beach hut village. I think these beach huts offer an awkward experience mix of confined space discomfort and home comfort. Doesn't it defy the idea of escaping from cities and going in to the wild and enjoying raw, elemental nature and wilderness?
