Design Against Fur
––
Design Against Fur was a submission for Design Against Fur 2009 poster competition.
On this project I worked together with Luke Wright, who was art directing/designing it.

Our poster targets the growing number of rap stars promoting and endorsing the production of fur products. Many of these artists are marketing fur garments through their own clothing lines implicating that cruel and inhumane actions are acceptable in the name of fashion. By focusing on common themes of the sub-culture the poster aims to educate individuals that may otherwise be easily convinced into buying and wearing fur.
––
As a response to this situation we created a rabbit character called Joyce Jilt Vauxhall, which is up and coming rapper from local neighborhood. As a real gangster he knows, that fur is not gangsta' and he wants to share this message with all of you! While working with Joyce we run only into one small problem – he can not spell… Therefore the poster says "ganster" instead of "gangster" and "rediculous" instead of "ridiculous".

Poster features a spray–painted chrome 'g' to attract attention and reinforce the tacky, ugly nature of fur products and the people that wear them.
